Father's Day

We had a great father's day. Brian reminded both Henry and I that "I can do whatever I want, it is father's day". Lucky for us, his ideal father's day was hanging out with his family. In the afternoon we had Grampie and Grammie Garlits, Uncle Dale and Aunt Beps, and Aunt Beps parents over for a BBQ.

Beatin' the heat

We stocked up on some pool supplies and headed to the pool at Grandpa and Grandma Garlits' house. Which, lucky for us, will be in our very own backyard in a couple of months. We're moving in (after renovations and a child saftey fence around the pool!)

Strike a pose

Henry was looking like such a stud the other day, so we had a photo shoot and he was such a HAM! I was hysterically laughing. What a booger!

First Shiner

Henry slipped in the bathtub the other night and banged his face off the side of the tub. I had a near heart attack, scooped Henry out of the tub and called the doctor. He assured me everything would be fine, but the kids face was like a balloon. The end result, a black eye - that has turned all kind of puke-ish green and brown colors since we took these pictures. I think we have many more of these in our future.

Morning Photo Shoots

Captured a couple of our recent mornings with my little man. He's such a active and happy little guy in the morning and so smart - he gets what I say and reacts how he pleases. He knows what it means to get a drink, have milk, go to his high chair when he's hungry... he amazes me every day. I love every second of my time with this little guy.

Muscles

When you ask Henry "Show me your muscles!", he folds his arms up and roars. Grandma thought this was hysterical, so in natural Grandma style she made this even funnier by accentuating his muscles with his Mega-Legos.

Florida Part 2

Here's some additional pictures from our May trip to Florida to see Grandpa, Grandma Holzapfel & GG Hoefel. We spent a lot of time doing water activities - whether at GG's pool or the dancing fountains in downtown Venice.

Introducing the Sprinkler

Kids loves the hose, so we knew he'd love the sprinkler!

Your parents are still cool (kind of)

Brian and I had our first long weekend away, as a couple, this past Memorial Day. We went to Penn State for a wedding and stayed an extra night for the heck of it. Grandma Holzapfel came up from Florida to watch Henry and insisted that we did not call (I did.). While I missed the little guy, it was so wonderful to be on my very own schedule, sleep in, nap, read, and eat out without rushing or apologizing for the mess on the floor.
Henry did great with grandma - they developed a ton of "inside jokes". He thinks she is so funny. Henry tried to show grandma how funny he was by pooping in the bathtub on the first night. Grandma didn't think that was funny, but I sure did!
Here's some pictures of Brian, Uncle Alex, Danielle and me on "vacation".

Henry's Hose

Henry loved to play with the hose at Grandma & Grandpas. He'd walk around with it, drink from it (chocking sometimes), trip over it, spray us with it, spray the windows, fill the pool... whatever he could think of. And if you took it away or turned if off, he'd through a fit! He would start to whine/cry and stomp around in a circle. You either had to give it back to him or take him inside and distract him until he forgot about it.
