Playing House

Since we got a new house, we thought Henry should get one, too. He LOVES it. It has a doorbell, a kitchen, a phone, fireplace, clock and more! Only problem is, he insists I play in it with him. So long for being able to weed the gardens while he plays "house".

Peeking out the back "hatch".

Checking his emails.

"falling" for it.

Magic Carpet Ride

Grandma and Grandpa bought Henry a new beach towel - with almost all the Sesame characters faces on the front. He LOVES this blanket more than anything. Most of all, he loves to ride the towel. We do this for hours on end. If we stop, we get the trantrum similar to the previous post

Terrible Twos?

Henry just turned 16 months. And recently, this is how he acts if he doesn't get his way.

Bumpy Ride

Grandpa introduced Henry to a new "game" while he was visiting. Henry couldn't get enough of it. (Promise, he liked it, do not call social services!)

Sesame Place Part III - Pool time

We save the best for last - - the water park!
We ended the day with a trip to the Sesame Place store where grandpa told Henry to pick out what he wanted... he couldn't make up his mind!!!

Sesame Place Part II - Elmo Rocks

They put on a 20 minute show called "Elmo Rocks". Henry goes crazy! As soon as the characters come out he smiles really big, shakes his arms, jumps up and down, claps and then wants down so he can run around like a mad man! We let him go up to the stage and he turned to the crowd and started to clap his hands over his head - like he was trying to get the crowd to clap. Then he would take off running. We were hysterical!

Sesame Place Part I

Grandma & Grandpa Holzapfel came into town last week, Friday to help paint our new house. We've been working long days, but took a couple hours to take Henry to Sesame Place. I was so excited to show them how excited Henry gets on the rides, at the Elmo Rocks show, and just to run around the park and take everything in. He gets so overwhelmed, he runs in circles. He's hysterical. We had a blast and we all left exhausted (I don't know how people do this for 8 hours straight, we only were there for 2.5 hours!)

The TV stare

Henry is obsessed with a VHS video, "Elmo goes the the Fire House", that he got from his Grandma Garlits. He asks to watch it constantly (asking by pointing at the TV and saying, "Tssssss", since we still aren't saying any words). He usually gets to watch it once a day, we limit it otherwise he'd be glued to the TV all day. I wouldn't care as much if he interacted with me while we watched it, but he doesn't budge... he gets as close to the TV as he can and stares in a frozen stance.

Slides and Houses

A couple weeks ago we went to the Palsky's house warming party. Not only do they have a beautiful new home, they have an awesome backyard with lots of great toys. Henry got to play with a ton of little kids. He loved the toy play house and playing "peek-a-boo" with the windows, but he enjoyed going down the slide (with a little help from Dad) the most.

Breakfast on the River

Last Friday we took Henry out for breakfast at place down the road on the Delaware River, Charcol Steaks & Things. We enjoyed the view, watched Elmo and ate a good meal. If we don't drag our meals out for too long, Henry is general great. He entertains mom and dad, the wait staff and most guests.
