Easter Eggs galore

While Henry didn't like the Easter bunny - at least not when he was within 20 feet of him/her. But he loved himself some Easter egg hunts and dying Easter eggs.

Before Easter we took Henry to Shady Brook Farms for an Easter Egg hunt. They take you by tractor out to a field to find Easter eggs. It was super cute - Henry loved it and then lost interest once he found his first egg that had a Milky Way in it - which he opened and enjoyed for the next 30 minutes.
Then, on Easter morning, we had our own little Easter egg hunt. Following Brian's family tradition, we not only hid eggs, but also the Easter basket. My visions of the day were sky high, I spent a lot of time stuffing eggs, hiding eggs and trying to make the whole "hunt" extra fun and special. But, true to Henry form, he lost interest after finding the first egg with candy - then mom and dad went and collected the rest of the eggs and bribe him with a big chocolate Easter bunny. Next year.... next year....

We also dyed Easter eggs. I would say eggs are top five on Henry list of favorite things - as long as you don't make him eat them! But when Brian mentiones making waffles, Henry runs to the kitchen to be his egg cracker (a hysterical mess, that I have to get on camera!). Once all the eggs where dyed, Henry wanted to crack all of them (hard boiled, by the way). After letting him destroy a few, we called it quits - and Henry had a major meltdown. Fun times.
