We broke records this month - more snow than any other year on record.
Part I: Saturday, February 6, 2010: We got about about 12 inches with this storm. Unfortunately, Henry was still battling his cold, so I didn't think would be wise to play in the snow. But we did venture out to Chili's for dinner... the only restaurant open in the area - with a very limited menu. But, we were happy to get out of the house!

Part II: Wednesday, February 10, 2010. More snow! Another 15-18 inches, depending on where you stood. It was an all day event, picking up steam after lunch. Nancy wasn't able to make it tp our house (understandably!) so I took the day off and to watch the snow fall with Henry. We took some time out to play when it was coming down the hardest. Henry wasn't to excited about it because it was thick, wet, and windy. But, at least he can say you played in the snow during the snowiest winter on record.
That night, we invited Uncle Dale and Aunt Alisabeth over for dinner. Half way through cooking it, the electricity went out and stayed out. We lit candles and carried flashlights while Dale and dad started up the propane grill to finish dinner. While outside, they witnessed one of the huge pine trees fall on Uncle Dale's roof. Luckily, another tree caught it, so it gently laid on Dale's roof, instead of falling through it. Once Dad and Dale finished cooking dinner - it took them about 1.5 hours - Henry feel asleep and we took our first few bites by candle light. Then around 9:00, the lights came on. Go figure. But, it was an adventure to say the least and Henry were a real trooper.
